Thrace, Mesambria (Mesembria), ca. 175 to 125 BCE. Silver tetradrachm of the type honoring Alexander III, The Great. Obverse: Head of Herakles right wearing lion's skin. Reverse: Zeus seated left holding eagle and scepter, Corinthian helmet in left field, monogram below throne. Coin has been graded and slabbed by NGC - Numismatic Guarantee Corporation. Size: 1.24" W (3.1 cm) and would weigh approximately 16.5 grams, but weight is estimate based on the type.
