Southeast Asia, Thailand, Sawankhalok or Sukhothai, ca. 15th century CE. A gorgeous ceramic bowl displaying a flared rim with a decorative, undulating periphery and a shallow basin, all sitting upon a low, ring-form foot and enveloped by a lustrous light blue glaze. The basin of the bowl has been elaborately adorned with the central tondo of a flower surrounded by a swirling, phytomorphic border that decorates the interior walls. Size: 9.375" in diameter x 1.75" H (23.8 cm x 4.4 cm)
