Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. A gorgeous hand-carved stone vessel with four rounded feet. The jar is skillfully carved with a deep interior cavity and a thin lip. The stone displays beautiful natural inclusions of pale blue, beige, and rose red hues. The exterior is polished to a pleasantly smooth surface. This jar may have once held a lid to further preserve various items stored within. A wonderful piece of artistry created from a naturally beautiful stone! Size: 2.75" W x 3.5" H (7 cm x 8.9 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s
