Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. A delightful pottery articulated 'doll' with individually mold-made arms and legs joined to the torso and head. His characteristically triangular head features an expressive face comprised of coffee bean shaped eyes, a broad nose, slightly parted lips, and skillfully contoured facial planes - all topped by a large, triangular headdress. Decorated in the manner of an elite personage, he wears large ear spools and an elaborate 'beaded' pectoral. Size: 3.5" W x 7" H (8.9 cm x 17.8 cm)
