Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A beautiful mold-formed bottle shaped from translucent glass of a blue-green hue. The tall, rectangular vessel has a concave, bullseye-style base, smooth walls that round inwards at the shoulder, a slightly compressed neck base beneath a narrow neck, and a thick, splayed rim. The broad trail handle bears a protruding curve along one side and slender impressions along the midsection. Layers of rainbow-hued iridescence have formed across the bottle and nicely complement its turquoise hues. Size: 2.25" W x 8.75" H (5.7 cm x 22.2 cm)
