Pre-Columbian, Central America, Panama, Gran Cocle, Tonosi type, ca. 600 to 1000 CE. A tall example of a fruitera built from pottery with a deep basin and a broad, flared foot. The burnished surfaces provide a great canvas for the intricate red and black curvilinear motifs - mainly concentric circles, zigzagging rectangular boxes, and abstract geometric forms - across the basin, stem, and foot. Size: 8.625" Diameter x 10.3" H (21.9 cm x 26.2 cm)
