Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A hand-built pottery vase of cylindrical form with a planar base, a slightly corseted body, and a gently flared rim. The exterior surfaces of the light orange body are adorned in faint layers of white pigment, perhaps as a ground where intricate decorations once presided. Size: 4.4" W x 10.5" H (11.2 cm x 26.7 cm)
