Description:

Near East, Ca. 10th - 12th century CE. A very ornate stand on tripod legs with human foot-form feet and legs, supporting the six dimpled dish, with incised designs within the depressions. Rising column from center with separately cast baluster shaped finials, each also incised and with receptacle cup at top. Crystalline, green patinas. Size: 24 inches H. + an additional dimpled footed base accompanies stand. Knob stem sections are loose. Provenance: Ex. Arthur M. Sackler collection, acquired about 1970, accession #133/36H & M.
