Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A piriform jar with a flat base and a corseted shoulder that is hand-carved from honey-yellow alabaster. The stone shows its natural translucency and coloration when placed next to a bright light. Size: 3.5" W x 5.4" H (8.9 cm x 13.7 cm)
