Pre-Columbian, Central Coast of Peru, Chancay, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. A sizable pottery jar of elongated ovoid form depicting a stylized anthropomorphic figure. The figure presents with pursed lips, outlined eyes, and petite hands holding a cup in front of the chest. Additional stripes of dark brown pigment accentuate the vessel and further emphasize the figural form. Size: 7.25" L x 7.7" W x 15.375" H (18.4 cm x 19.6 cm x 39.1 cm)
