H. Antonio (Acoma Pueblo, 20th century). Pottery canteen, n.d. Signed with "Acoma" on underside of base. A splendid pottery canteen of spherical form hand-painted with the image of a bird in profile facing right, all sitting upon a slanted base for display. A flared spout rises from the top of the bulbous vessel, flanked by a pair of handles that are tied with a strand of animal hide for suspension. Size: 4.3" L x 5.2" W x 5.3" H (10.9 cm x 13.2 cm x 13.5 cm)
