East Asia, Japan, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A finely made, large porcelain vase with decorative openwork handles at the neck and a scene of women in nature on one side. The other side bears written characters in black. Included is a lovely hand-carved wooden stand that is contemporary in age to the vessel. Size: 6.75" W x 16.65" H (17.1 cm x 42.3 cm); 24.7" H (62.7 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950-1990

  • Condition: The vase is in excellent condition with very light wear commensurate with age. The stand has two old labels on its underside, one reading "Made in Japan". It has light wear commensurate with age including a few chips and nicks, but is overall in very nice condition.
