Pre-Columbian, Columbia, Sinu (Zenu) or Tairona people, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. A beautiful necklace comprised of ancient Pre-Columbian quartz, spondylus, and greenstone and variscite beads featuring a gorgeous frog pendant cast from tumbaga - a gold-copper alloy. The abstract frog was made via the lost-wax method using a 53% to 58% gold (equivalent to 12K+ to 13K+) with a frontal suspension loop for wearing as jewlery or attaching to clothing. The beads are arranged in a balanced composition that splits into 2 strands at the center, and all is strung in modern times on a thread and hook clasp as a unique and wearable piece. Size of strand: 17.5" L (44.4 cm); frog: 0.9"" L x 0.75" W (2.3 cm x 1.9 cm); gold quality: 53.47% to 58.09% (equivalent to 12K+ to 13K+)
