Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Tairona culture, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. A charming pottery jar of a squat, spherical form presenting 2 owl-like visages. Each face displays a petite, coffee-bean shaped eyes and a risen, beak-like mouth all surrounded by a protruding brow that dips at the center. Incised lattice designs further adorn each avian-esque visage. Size: 3.6" W x 2.2" H (9.1 cm x 5.6 cm)
