A stunning black-figure oinochoe with a characteristic globular body decorated with a figural scene of Dionysos wearing a wreath and holding a rhyton, flanked by satyrs and maenads, with a trefoil lip. An iconographically rich example of this classic form. Size: 6" W at widest x 7.5" H (15.2 cm x 19 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Bonham's; ex-private Ascona, Switzerland collection, acquired in the 1980s.
