Description:

East Asia, possibly China, Paleocene to Pleistocene period, ca. 65 million to 12,000 years ago. A spectacular crystal cluster and a fossilized turtle shell. The pale lilac amethyst crystal emerges from a slab almost entirely covered with white and semi-translucent quartzite crystalline formations. The shell is a superb example with beautiful definition and details to the carapace and scutes! The contrast of the chalky white fossilized material against the warmer gray matrix of the stone that fills the shell is a great development during the aging process! Size of shell: 7.5" L x 5.5" W x 4.5" H (19 cm x 14 cm x 11.4 cm)
