Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca 200 BCE to 200 CE. Large and very touching redware pottery jar, man probably represents a youth who is developmentally handicapped, hands to his head, exposing his erect phalus, knees drawn upward toward his chest, rim of a large olla behind his head. 10-1/8"H. PROVENANCE: Ex-private Massachusetts Collection acquired in the 60s and was part of an old San Diego, CA collection which was then sold to the Osuna Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. The starting price is the lowest price at which the piece can sell.

  • Condition: Repairs to rim and left foot reattached, else quite excellent with liberal root marks inside and out.
