A beautiful necklace comprised of dozens of ancient creamy white faience ovoid and tube beads, each interspersed with a modern sterling silver seed bead, and centered on a beautifully pearlescent ancient glass bead, its deep blue surface visible underneath the deposits of time. A modern sterling silver clasp makes this necklace wearable. Ancient faience and glass beads of this style have been found in tombs throughout ancient Mesopotamia, including at the royal palace of Ur. Length of strand: 22" L (55.9 cm); size of largest bead: Size: 1.25" W (3.2 cm)
