A collection of 31 ancient carnelian beads of various shapes - rounded, biconical ovoid, tubular, and seed beads, 30 paste glass seed beads of pretty wintergreen hues, and 8 larger faience beads with incised leaf vein patterns, all fashioned into an attractive symmetrical pattern on an oxidized sterling silver chain with 4 strands dangling from the drop pendant. Each of these beads was made to adorn funerary items for elite women in ancient Mesopotamia. Beautiful and wearable! Size: 23.5" L (59.7 cm) + 3.5" L (8.9 cm) (longest dangler chain)
