Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A gorgeous drop-shaped trail of marvered cobalt blue glass with a loop at the top for suspension, perhaps a stirrer for mixing special ingredients in wine! Cobalt and lighter blue canes of glass were artfully marvered into the surface to create elegant swirls and ribbon-like patterns throughout. Layers of silvery iridescence imbue the stirrer with even more beauty! Size: 3.25" L x 0.5" W (8.3 cm x 1.3 cm); 3.75" H (9.5 cm) on included custom stand.
