Description:

Roman, early Imperial Period, ca. 1st century BCE to 1st century CE. A wonderful free-blown bowl made from a dense, translucent, pale-green glass. The vessel sits upon a rounded base with a smooth pontil scar and boasts tall walls which turn slightly inwards at the rim. A pair of wheel-cut lines are displayed along the interior just below the rim and give the bowl a personalized appearance. Thick sections of fiery silver and rainbow iridescence accentuate the soft verdant hue of the bowl and make this a gorgeous example of fine Roman craftsmanship! Size: 4.8" W x 2.625" H (12.2 cm x 6.7 cm).
