A sublime textile panel, of a rectangular form, composed of tightly-woven natural cotton fibers, and decorated with a tumultuous register of triangular, stepped, spiraling, S-shaped, and abstract geometric motifs. Brilliant colors serve as a testament to the textile's state of preservation as turquoise, crimson, citrine, espresso, and pearl-white hues create a vibrant visual field. A truly superb example of ancient Peruvian artistry! Mounted on a museum-quality textile backing. Size (textile): 54.5" L x 8.5" W (138.4 cm x 21.6 cm); size (backing): 66.75" L x 22.25" W (169.5 cm x 56.5 cm).
