Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A beautiful and wearable bracelet comprised of 7 ancient Roman glass fragments set inside modern form-fitting sterling silver bezels. The glass fragments likely come from storage vessels and range from pale semi-translucent aquamarine to a deep cerulean, with shimmering iridescence that has formed over the centuries. Each silver bezel is connected via integral loops, and the size is adjustable via a T-bar clasp and 3 ringlets. Size of bracelet: 8" L x 0.6" W (20.3 cm x 1.5 cm); largest setting: 0.7" L x 0.6" W (1.8 cm x 1.5 cm); silver quality: 92%; weight: 21.7 grams
