Northern Spain, Gaul, Coriosolites, ca. 150 to 50 BCE. Billon stater (6.5 g). Obverse: Armorica, Celticized male head right, with hair in spiral curls. Reverse: Deconstructed biga right; ornaments around; boar right below. De La Tour 6589. Size: 0.85" W (2.2 cm)

Coriosolites, sometimes known as Curiosolitae, was one of the maritime cities recorded by Caesar in his "Commentaries on the Gallic War", reaching out into the Atlantic Ocean. The people from those cities are sometimes considered Celtic. Many of their coins come from buried hoards.
