USA, Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico, ca. 1930 to 1970 CE. This is a signed piece of black pottery that plays with polished and matte surfaces to create an abstract design around its body. Frances M. Chavarria actively made pottery from 1930 to 1970. She was the daughter of Cynthia Tafoya and wife of Antonio Chavarria. A number of her pots are in the Heard Museum collection in Phoenix Arizona. Size: 4.7" W x 5" H (11.9 cm x 12.7 cm)
