Robert Tavener (British, 1920-2004). "Westminster Abbey Henry VII Chapel" - lithograph in colors, edition 24/75. Hand signed, numbered, and titled in pencil beneath the image. A stunning lithograph of the Henry VII Chapel at Westminster Abbey by British artist Robert Tavener. Tavener's oeuvre focused primarily on architecture in Oxford and Cambridge as well as Sir Christopher Wren's churches and his country's impressive cathedrals. In his words, "My subject matter is a personal interpretation of the richness, variety, beauty, and the underlying relationship with the past, of our landscape and building." Interestingly, Tavener created his prints on his own 1882 Albion Press which he kept in his home studio.
