Jeroen Hennemann (also spelled Henneman) (Dutch, b. 1942), untitled, 1970 CE. A colorful abstract colored screenprint created in Hennemann's wonderful non-objective style that plays with geometry, color, and movement. Signed and dated in pencil by the artist on the verso. Henneman studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Amsterdam from 1959 to 1961. Having sojourned in Belgium, France, Switzerland, and the United States, he currently works in Amsterdam. He is best known for his monument to Theo van Gogh entitled "De Schreeuw" (The Scream) (2006) which symbolizes how Van Gogh was silenced when he was murdered in 2004.
