A majestic landscape painting of Loch Lomond (Scottish Loch Laomainn which means "Lake of the Elms") by British artist George Willis Pryce. Here he presented a wooded setting with a quaint footbridge crossing the stretch of water in the foreground, opening to the grand Loch in the middleground, surrounded by majestic hills in the background. A gorgeous painting of the largest inland stretch of water in Great Britain, set in a beautiful gilded wood frame. Size: 7.125" W x 4.875" H (18.1 cm x 12.4 cm); 10.875" W x 8.75" H (27.6 cm x 22.2 cm) framed.

  • Condition: Painting has a few minute scuffs, but is otherwise excellent. Frame has some small nicks to the corners, but is otherwise also excellent with a beautiful gilded finish. Old label on verso reads, "Original Oil Painting by Willis Pryce, Exhibitor, R.S.A. etc." followed by "Subject Lock Lomond Scotland" and "Willis Pryce Artist, 87 Eggington Rd, Hall Green, Birmingham, England."
