North America, United States, ca. 1920s CE. A large, signed photographic print of the renowned American Four-Star General, Douglas MacArthur (1880 to 1964). The lower left corner is embossed "Signal Corps, US Army" which was the branch that provided communication and information within the army. The photo was taken when MacArthur was around 50 years old, in full military uniform with ribbon bars and marksmanship badges. Below is his signature in pen, likely a gift to an admirer of his commanding rank and achievements. Size (print): 15.875" L x 11.875" W (40.3 cm x 30.2 cm); (matting): 20" L x 16" W (50.8 cm x 40.6 cm)
