Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Sican / Chimu, ca. 1000 to 1470 CE. A blackware stirrup vessel molded into a multichambered body with gourd shaped sides and anthropomorphic heads at the base of the handles and spout. The visages probably represent Naylamp, the traditional hero founder of the Lambayeque and god of the underworld, or another deity or king. Size: 5.75" L x 5" W x 6.75" H (14.6 cm x 12.7 cm x 17.1 cm)
