Description:

Pre-Columbian, Peru, Sican-Lambayeque, ca. 800 to 1000 CE. A hand-built blackware pottery vessel depicting a family seated in front of a broad strap handle. The mother sits with her infant suckling at her breast, and the father lays on his side watching the familial scene take place. A whistle behind the seated mother creates a high-pitched sound when air is blown into the spout. Size: 6.875" W x 7.625" H (17.5 cm x 19.4 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report will accompany the item upon purchase.
