Pre-Columbian, Peru, Cajamarca culture, ca. 400 to 700 CE; South America, Upper / Western Amazon Basin, Ucayali River, Peru, Shipibo peoples, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery bowls. The Cajamarca bowl features black, red and white motifs painted within the basin, and the larger Shipibo bowl features a face as well as intricate linear decorations across the exterior surfaces. Size of largest (Shipibo): 6.5" W x 3" H (16.5 cm x 7.6 cm)

Provenance: private Ojai, California, USA collection, by inheritance, collected before 2000
