Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, ca. 800 to 1500 CE. An intriguing ensemble of six terracotta stamp seals, three with flat faces and protruding handles, and three with cylindrical compositions. Each of the cylindrical seals have deep-grooved bands carved into them, the smallest of which exhibiting some band curvature, and the trio of more-traditional "stamps" have stepped, spiralized, and an abstract butterfly design. A wonderful gathering! Size of largest (cylindrical): 3.375" H (8.6 cm).
