Ancient Near East, Syro-Hittite, ca. 2800 to 1500 BCE; Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Valdivian culture, Formative Period, ca. 2000 to 1500 BCE; Jamacoaque, ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE. A gathering of 8 ancient artifacts made from stone or pottery. First are 5 Valdivian anthropomorphic figures of characteristically abstract form shaped from either stone or pottery. A petite Jamacoaque figure has a suspension loop on each shoulder, and a Jamacoaque pottery fragment features a protruding visage. Also included is an ancient Syro-Hittite female figure of abstract form with stippled eyes and a beak-like nose. Size of largest (Syro-Hittite Figure): 0.9" L x 1.05" W x 3.15" H (2.3 cm x 2.7 cm x 8 cm)
