Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Santo Domingo Pueblo, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A massive shell pendant with a kachina dancer in the center, formed by mosaic of coral, turquoise, tiny malachite, and shell shards inlaid in the surface within sterling silver frames. The sterling silver bail loop is also inlaid, and the verso is hallmarked and stamped with crossed arrows. Five strands of polished turquoise and coral beads form the necklace - there is no clasp, and the braided ends are knotted in place. A bold and wearable piece of Native artistry! Size of necklace strand: 36" L (91.4 cm); pendant: 5" L x 4" W (12.7 cm x 10.2 cm); silver quality: 93.2%; total weight: 394.1 grams
