A hand-carved sardonyx intaglio featuring the left-facing profile of a bearded male figure, perhaps Bacchus (Greek Dionysus), god of wine and revelry. The intaglio is set within the ovoid top portion of a 60.68% rose gold tie pin that can be worn with nearly any outfit. Size (intaglio): 0.52" L x 0.47" W (1.3 cm x 1.2 cm); (tie pin): 0.34" L x 0.52" W x 2.23" H (0.9 cm x 1.3 cm x 5.7 cm); gold quality: 60.68% (equivalent to 14K+); total weight: 2.9 grams
