Description:

Roman, late Imperial Period, ca. 4th to 5th century CE. A gorgeous free-blown glass vessel with a pale-yellow coloration and thick composition. A rough pontil rests within a slightly-concave base, with a cylindrical body and tapered neck defining the body profile. A flared rim gives way to a wide mouth, and several bands of applied rigaree zigzag between the rim and shoulder. Thick, flaky areas of brilliant rainbow and silvery iridescence imbue this beautiful vessel with the charm and character evocative of the Roman Empire! Size: 3.25" H (8.3 cm).
