Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A nicely modeled head of a female, perhaps a goddess, presenting large almond-shaped eyes, arched brows, an aquiline nose, full lips, and elegantly contoured facial planes, all framed by a centrally parted wavy coiffure that is adorned by a lovely diadem with a central round 'jewel' motif. Possibly a votive meant to be left as an offering at a temple or a shrine. Size: 2.875" H (7.3 cm); 4.25" H (10.8 cm) on included custom stand.
