Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A fascinating mold-made pottery figure of a standing man with a large, heavily brimmed hat. The man is draped in clothing, standing in a dynamic pose with one arm raised to touch his chin and the other at his side, holding his robe. He stands atop a round pedestal. Original pigment remains on his face, a rarity with many Roman figures like this. Size: 2.25" W x 6.45" H (5.7 cm x 16.4 cm)
