Description:

**Originally Listed At $400**

Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st century CE. A mold-made terracotta head of a young child, with chubby features, wide eyes, and nicely-depicted, curly hair that sits close to the head. The head is hollow, with a flared rim around the open base of the neck, and it was likely made to be attached to a more complete sculpture. Does this head represent a generic child, a mythical figure, or a beloved son or daughter? Size: 3.35" W x 4.5" H (8.5 cm x 11.4 cm); 8.05" H (20.4 cm) on included custom stand.
