A very finely detailed fragment of an ancient Roman ceramic Campagna figural relief depicting a charioteer standing in his chariot holding the reins in both hands, showing the hindquarters of his horse. Very deep relief. There is some old collection or excavation notes on the back in red ink, one of which appears to "1935.4.01" (?)  Custom stand. Size: Fragment itself measures 12-1/2" H.
