Description:

Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A pair of cast bronze ornaments to be strung on horse tack. Each is composed of a bronze disc with a projecting bar on its back; looped through the bar is another piece of bronze with an ornate, flourish-like shape. One of these is silvered. Roman horses wore dangling decoration designed to flash in the sun. Size: 1.95" W x 3.25" H (5 cm x 8.3 cm)
