Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A cast, rectangular silvered bronze mirror, probably once set into a frame with a handle. Classical women in art are often depicted looking at themselves in mirrors, and mirrors like this one are often found in the graves of higher status women. Mirrors may also have played a religious role, used in divining rituals. Size: 3.5" W x 3" H (8.9 cm x 7.6 cm)
