Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A charming miniature solid silver votive figure (97% silver), finely cast to depict a bearded man with a toga draped over his body and holding a patera in his outstretched right hand. The toga had begun to fall out of fashion by the late 1st century BCE, so the Emperor Augustus made it an unofficial state dress, reviving the ancient look. Size: 1.5" H (3.8 cm); 1.75" H (4.4 cm) on included custom stand. Weight: 12.6 grams. Silver quality: 97%.
