Roman, Republican Period, ca. 62 BCE. An ancient silver denarius coin Rome mint, issued under L. Aemilius Lepidus Paullus. Obverse: the veiled and diademed head of Concordia facing right, inscription: "PAVLLVS LEPIDVS CONCORDIA," (Paulus Lepidus Concordia) and dotted border. Reverse: to the left is the togate figure of the consul L. Aemilius Paullus touching a trophy, and on the left are three captives: King Perseus of Macedon and his sons, and the inscription: "TER / PAVLLVS" (Third Paullus). Size: 0.7" Diameter (1.8 cm); weight: 3.9 grams
