Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd century CE. With a loop handle and a rounded spout, this mold-made ceramic oil lamp has a charming shape that matches the round-faced relief image of Bacchus's head in the discus. He wears a headdress of grape leaves and grapes, celebrating wine. Remains of a maker's mark are on the bottom of the lamp. Size: 2.65" W x 1.75" H (6.7 cm x 4.4 cm)
