Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd century CE. A mold-formed pottery oil lamp with a squat, circular foot, an ovolo shoulder, an arching handle with a concave groove, and a trio of fill holes within the recessed tondo. Featured within the tondo is a low relief face of an elegant woman who wears a veil above neatly arranged bangs and has almond-shaped eyes flanking her petite nose, perhaps representative of the goddess Vesta or Minerva.
