A lovely Roman plasma intaglio of a nude figure, likely a huntsman, holding a spear as he stands beside a horse and dog, all set in a Neoclassical ring of over 22 karat gold. Boasting a translucent hue of veridian, the elegant gem shows the male figure standing contrapposto as he looks upward toward branches that protrude from above the head of his horse. Size of intaglio: 0.4" L x 0.3" W (1 cm x 0.8 cm); of ring: 0.9" L x 0.8" W (2.3 cm x 2 cm); US ring size: 7.25; gold quality: 92.43% (over 22 karats); weight: 5.2 grams
