Description:

Roman, Imperial, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A skillfully carved marble head with heavy lidded, almond-shaped eyes, a prominent nasal bridge, broad nostrils, and a petite closed mouth. Lovely curvilinear incised lines, representing strands of hair, decorate the coiffure of this fascinating visage, forming a point at the top of their head and falling alongside his or her plump cheeks. With a natural sparkling luster accenting the creamy beige and peach hues of the marble, this elegant sculpture is a fine example from ancient Rome! Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 2.125" W x 3.125" H (5.4 cm x 7.9 cm)
