Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A large and lovely bronze bowl of an overall phiale-like form, with a planar base, rolling walls, a shallow interior basin, and a thin rim. The center of the basin displays a faint concentric circle motif. Beautiful layers of pale-green, dark-green, and russet-hued patina shroud all surfaces, with small areas of azurite and amethyst-hued patina as well. Size: 7.75" W x 2" H (19.7 cm x 5.1 cm).
